A hotel with no bathtub sparked a wellness invention. Daniel Harthorn joins us to share how a missed ritual became Scent Espresso, the first in-shower aromatherapy diffuser that pairs premium essential oils with a guided breathing light to calm the nervous system and make everyday stress easier to carry. We go beyond the highlight reel to unpack the journey from building a beloved wireless smart thermometer, navigating a high-stakes acquisition, and confronting burnout to designing a product that turns the most overlooked space in your home into a phone-free sanctuary.
We dig into the hard parts founders rarely admit: the deception of doubt, the long nights across time zones, and the tipping points where belief must outrun fear. Daniel explains why purpose—not profit—keeps teams moving, and how co-founders and family form a feedback loop of resilience when energy dips.
We also compare U.S. and U.K. startup cultures. Daniel praises America’s second-chance ethos and bias for iteration while advocating a European sense of pacing: move with intent, protect your soul, and avoid glorifying the grind. His motto: slow is smooth, smooth is fast. If you’re craving a morning lift or an evening exhale, ScentXspresso aims to make calm repeatable, portable, and beautifully designed.

Hey my bringers, it’s Sylvia Worsham. Welcome to Released Out Review Purpose. And today’s Daniel Harthorn. And when we were speaking just now, I thought, wow, I really can understand the products that he’s creating. You know, he’s an engineer. And as y’all know that listen to this podcast, I’ve been married twice. Um, first to a civil engineer, now to an electrical engineer. So I know engineers really, really well, and I know how they think and how logical they can be, but they’re also very deep thinkers and they have these creative, supremely creative ideas. And I know Daniel has this product, these products that he’s brought to market. He’s in the UK. We’re here in the United States. I’ve lived abroad. I know how the Europeans are and how different of a business model they have than we do. And sometimes when we try to join forces, it could be like fireworks or it could be really disastrous sometimes. But um, there’s lots that we can learn from the Europeans, and I know they have lots to learn from us. So without further ado, Daniel, so much. Thank you so much for joining us on Release Out Reveal Purpose all the way from London.
Sylvia, thank you so much for having me on today. It’s a pleasure to get to talk to you. I really appreciate you.
No, I appreciate you too, and I’m already feeling the Holy Spirit. So I know there’s something juicy to be said about your story of transformation. So please share with us how these products came to life. How did they get birthed in your mind?
So that’s a great story, and I think I will I mentioned to you before, I am a I am a visual person. You will see my arms and what hands waving here, there, and everywhere. So I have to be, this is where we came from. Uh, this was not my idea. This was actually the brainchild of a chap called Temu Navala, Wen Navala, and Joseph Cruz, three people. Um, but it’s where we met and it’s where where the genus, where the the spark came from for our current product that I’m going to talk to you about today. So this is the world’s first wireless smart thermometer. Some of your audience may have used them at backyard cookouts. Um we we made a beautiful product, and we we started with a team from nothing but a concept. We grew that to a profitable business that was then acquired by a much larger US grill manufacturer. And for us, you know, one of the key things when we talk about light, what we loved, what we care about was making something beautiful that will bring joy to people. And so one of the recurring themes from both of our products is taking something that fills people’s soul and making that readily accessible, making it easier. So in in this case, it was about bringing the joy of food to people, about taking away some of the pressures that go about with that joy of food. And with our new product, it is bringing about the joy of scent, the joy of aromatherapy, the joy and revelation in your own body. So the previous business meter, we um, as I mentioned, we we were acquired by a larger company, and this marked a real turning point for us, like of, and for me personally, a transactional point where we’ve gone from being a small tribe of closely knit people with one goal to make the best product for our customers to being part of corporate America. And um, you know, when you are in a startup that’s growing, and at that point, we often talk about this acquisition process as being the promised land. You know, it’s the the goal that we all have to get there. And as we got there and we were working 20-hour days and working across multiple different time zones, there was always that next step along where it would become easier, where we would have a life again, where we could step outside of the confines of our desk. And this is where our new product came from, where the idea of the cent espresso came from. So, my incredible co-founder Wen, now she is um she is incredible, she’s mercurial, she is possibly the best human being on the face of this planet because she bridges engineering with personality and charisma and charm. Her go-to relaxation method, which she shared with my co-founder Chris and I a lot, and we we took, was she would take a really hot bath, she would leave her phone outside, she would drop some essential oils in there, and she would just take that time and relax and decompress and re-energize. So, poor Wen, I’m gonna take you vicariously through through her eyes. She was out there, she was away on a business trip, she’d had a really, really long, tough day. She’d kind of gone from the airport straight to meetings, she’d had a really, really long, tough day. She had her essential oils with her, she checked into her hotel and she was ready to kind of reclaim some of that time for herself to recharge. But unfortunately, the snag that the hotel room had no bath. So being the incredible genius that she is, and and that’s not an overstatement, her mind went straight to what can I do? How can I how can I reclaim my relaxation with what I have available to me? And she realized she had access to a shower. So then the mind went to, how do I apply these same principles? How do I get that full spar in a shower? And that’s where the idea was born. Now she was truly excited. She came back from her trip and spoke to Chris and I about it. And we were just like, wow, you know, this is absolutely mind-blowing. We have to make this. Why did we not make this? Because we all really need it. We need that calm, we need that relaxation. And so flash forward to probably two years on now. Because it’s just like that. This is the the movie cutscene. This is where we are we’ve um we are making the product, we’ve had a successful Kickstarter campaign. The product launches in March of this of next year of 2026 on general sale. And we um we’ve had our ups, we’ve had our downs, but what we’ve doing and what we believe in is that we are building something that will provide a moment of respite to anyone, and a moment of natural respite that will empower people’s bodies to do the relaxation for them and help them, help them improve their feelings, improve their state, improve their life.
That’s sounds amazing. It sounds like an amazing product, but you mentioned ups and downs, and I really want you to get into the nitty-gritty of this, Daniel, because there’s so many entrepreneurs here in the States and around the world that have these beautiful ideas, and unfortunately, they start and then the mind starts to deceive them, try to get them out of that project. How did you push past that deception?
That’s an amazing question. And unfortunately, I don’t think there is one silver or golden bullet to it, but I would love to talk to you about the different aspects of this because there is no there’s no one quick fix, but there are myriad things that can make the difference. And so I suppose in no particular order, but in importance nonetheless, the first thing in my experience so far is belief. Belief in the product, belief in the positive impact that it will bring, belief and enough to stand behind and trust and put your heart and soul out there into the world, that what you are making has purpose, and what you are making will help people, it will ameliorate people’s lives, it will make something, something net positive that goes out into the planet, out into the ether. I think it’s really important that if you do not have the belief that your product will make something better for people, you cannot stand behind it and you will you will run away from it. I think you know when we look at all the things that people stand for, people stand for things when there is belief and commitment and there is the genuine impassion that you are doing something to serve a higher purpose, and that higher purpose is not a monetary game, that higher purpose is in a in a localized context, it is I can make my friends and family’s lives better. I’ve I have firsthand seen people burn out and the stress that they go through, and on a localized level, the belief that this product will help in some way and help support people to to empower them to get past that tough stage. So I think beyond all and be all and beyond all, belief in your product will help you get through the darkest of nights and see hopefully the the brightest of dawn. I think the other things that I would say is having a great team around you, and I count myself as truly blessed in this sense with my co-founders Wen and Chris, with with the team that we have building this product, because spirit, um confidence, commitment, it’s not a it’s not a static line, right? You know, some days you can wake up and maybe you’ve maybe the dog scratched at you all night, maybe your your little girl’s been sick through the night, maybe maybe it’s just you’ve just slept badly. And your uh your kind of energy levels and your not your enthusiasm, because I think that that continues to build, but your belief is not a static flat line. There is fluctuation in between it, there is slight deviation. And I think that’s where for me it’s been a remarkable blessing to have my co-founders and the team around because what’s stunning is if you are having a tough time to have someone that you can turn to and you can see the light in their eyes, you can feel the the soul and ambition in what they’re doing, and you can be amazed at their intelligence, at their commitment, at their at who they are, and that they too believe in this thing with you. So I think having that support network within your product that has that equal belief with you, you can feed off each other, you can bounce off each other, you can carry each other when it’s a little bit harder. You can on the times when you’re all singing and you’re all exactly on that same hymn sheet, you amplify each other. And and I think that that virtuous cycle of of commitment and care between you is absolutely key. And I think another that I would add to this, outside of the realms of your co-founders who are in this mission and your team members who are in this mission, is being having the people that you love outside of this, the belief from them, the the positivity from them, the input from them, the support from them. I think all of this comes together to give you the drive to kind of kind of liken it to this thing of like strapping on your armor and and going out into the big scary night and saying, you know what, yes, I have foes out here, yes, there is a challenge out here, but by goodness, I have the team around me and I have the people at my back who will support me through anything and everything. And I think this is why I say it’s not one solution, it’s it’s having those people around you that that will support you.
It’s a myriad of things, and I can attest to that. And I bravo for bringing these three points out. So just to remind the listeners, it’s belief in your product, it’s the purpose behind it must be very, very strong for your deception to put push past the deception because it does require some strength, some mental strength to get past this. Um, to have a community of supporters, not just um co-founders, but also the um your family backing you up because the love in your life is what really triumphs over any kind of fear that that your mind will throw at you. And uh, it’s the strongest feeling over it. Um, so I’m in total agreement with you. I I can say I relate when I um I’m an entrepreneur myself, and there’s been times in my journey that have been very devastating. And had it not been for the support of my husband, uh the electrical engineer, uh, he he has provided me with the light and the guidance when my mind is wanted to be defeated by the outside, you know, uh circumstances. And all of the power that we gain from ourselves as a life coach, I can say comes from within. That that intuition is within. It’s not something we find outside. Love is within us, um, the belief is within us, purpose is within us. It’s everything that as human beings we have at our disposal to tap into. And yet, sadly, a lot of people don’t tap into it. They think that their solution lies outside of them. And I do think that this is a cultural difference between the Europeans and the Americans. Can you comment a little bit about the experience uh between these two cultures and how you see it being different as far as being an entrepreneur?
Yeah, and I think, you know, you m you mentioned it earlier on. I think the the harmony, the true beauty is is somewhere between the middle of the two approaches. Because I think you know, and I can’t uh speak from the UK terms, and some of my best friends in the world are are from the US and and we’re part of that meter journey. I think one of the key differences that I would notice, and I I’m gonna go full team USA on this one. Um I think the the narrative within within US, within North America around startups is is different in the sense that uh the US loves uh loves that um that vindication story, that that person that perhaps failed on the first attempt, but came and smashed it on the second time round and picked themselves up and went again and and conquered adversity. And I think that is something that the US and that North America it’s that narrative to me, it speaks to my soul because I love this idea of this this person. Maybe they didn’t get something perfectly right the first time, or or maybe the first 30 times, or maybe the first 50 times. And I think that ethos is peerless globally. I think that is absolutely breathtakingly stunning because it’s it’s how I feel we all should aspire to be. The you know, this idea of hey, if this didn’t work, I’m gonna try again, or I’m gonna pivot, or I’m gonna try something entirely new. And I think the culture in the US really, really supports and rewards that. And I think that’s something that in the UK we’re perhaps not as strong on. I think in in the UK, if if something doesn’t work the first time, then people are like, Well, why are they trying that again? Why are they doing that again? They failed the first time, and so I think that’s something that I would love. I would love to be more into Europe. Uh I think that that attitude is absolutely perfect. I think on the flip side of the coin, I think one of the things that um that we talk about is um you know this hustle and grind um now as as being being a part of of meter and being a part of flowgreens. I I the mentality behind that is sound, and what I mean by the mentality behind it is this idea of being nimble, being agile, being able to seek opportunity and and find a way to to find how we can grasp that opportunity, I think is perfect. I think the the grind though, I think that’s where I I take some umbragement with it. Because perhaps perhaps we’re talking about different uh different connotations of words in this, but you know, to me, grind, I think of something that is slowly eroding your soul and tearing you apart, and you are giving away part of your soul and your power and your light to something that you will never get back. And I would kind of say this is what I I would appreciate from our mentality of startup, but this is not grinding us down, we are building, we are putting our heart and soul into something with love, care, and every intention to build something that fills our soul and makes us proud. And so I think that that difference in mentality is quite apparent there because to be a to be doing a startup and to be believing the power of purpose and purposefully doing your startup, you are doing this to grow, you are not doing this to be diminished, you are here to make and grow, not be ground down into a tiny little nubbin.
You’re right. I mean, as you as I told you before we started the interview, I lived in France, so I’m very familiar with our the differences in our culture, and I had a bird’s eye view of businesses coming into Europe or vice versa, like just understanding the the the way the Americans thought while they were abroad um versus how the Europeans operated. And one of the differences that I love about the European way of life is that they work hard, but they know when to stop, when to enjoy life. And the Americans don’t. The Americans are go, go achieve more, more. It’s like it’s never ending. And you see cases in the United States more of burnout than you do in Europe.
Yeah.
Um, you guys don’t have the heart issues and the stress issues and the anxiety issues that we have here in the States, and there’s a reason for that. You first of all, you guys walk more, you don’t drive as much when you get behind the wheel in the States, if you’ve ever had that experience. Um, it’s very stressful. You know, it’s way nicer to walk everywhere, to take the metro and you know, and get off or a bus even. And when I was a student abroad, obviously I didn’t have a car, thank the goodness, because I didn’t want one. I wanted to walk everywhere. And I walked to the university every day, and it was the best exercise I ever got. It’s fresh air, the skies are super blue, there’s trees everywhere, there’s parks everywhere. The culture is totally different. And then the other difference I noticed was they they take their time in developing things, they’re very thoughtful in their approach. Here in the States, a lot of people want to move fast because everything is telling them you got to do this fast, you gotta, you know, because it’s a trendy thing over here, right? The trend is there, so you gotta jump on the trend. And then by the time you turn around, the trend is gone and off you go to the next trend. And it there’s no, there’s no thoughtfulness behind some of these ideas. That’s why they don’t last. That’s why people, the deception of the mind is so strong in them because, well, the next best thing, and they need their significance, they need their followers, and I don’t see that culture abroad. I see a different approach to life altogether. Um, and my husband never understood what I meant until he went abroad with me. We took our son to London in Scotland when he graduated from uh high school uh because we told him we would take him anywhere in the world. And the first place he picked was Houston, Texas. We thought that was so nice of him. Like, we’re not staying in Texas, we’re going abroad, pick somewhere abroad, anywhere. And he said, and then my husband was like, Well, why not Europe, Andres? And Andres is like, Okay, um, how about England? And you can see my husband go, why England? You know, well, we can speak the language, and and he goes, But your mom speaks Spanish and French. Why would like we could go anywhere, Andres? And he’s like, Well, I want to understand what they’re saying, so I want to go to England, and then we say, Well, then pick somewhere else too, because we’re not just gonna go to England and go all the way over there for one country, pick another country and we’ll make it a nice 10-day, you know, vacation. And so he finally picked Scotland. He goes, We’ll go to the motherland, Vermont, because I’m I’m part Scottish. Um, I didn’t know it until I got my braces. And then they said I had a very typical Scottish jaw. And I was like, that doesn’t make sense uh because my family’s from Mexico. I was like, that doesn’t, I don’t know how that would work, you know. And then I went back to my mom and she said, Well, I forgot. To mention you have a great great great grandfather that’s from Scotland. I’m like, well, that makes sense. So lo and behold, when we were over there, he did notice a difference between the states and Europe. And England was very much like France in that everybody kind of took their breaks in the afternoon with their tea and their, you know, scones, and and you know, you took afternoon tea. That doesn’t, you don’t hear that in the states ever, ever, ever. You know, it’s like coffee, coffee is in the morning to wake up. It’s not in the afternoon, and it’s not to take a break. And so I do think that your products, when you do launch, there’s a lot of thought that goes into these products, and it’s very customer-centric versus stockholder-centric, as it is here in the States. And I don’t mean to be rude to the Americans. I know that they are leaders and in a great deal of industries, and it takes a lot of responsibility to be the leader because you’re called on when disaster strikes, you know, and so is the UK. The UK is also a leader. And so there’s just, I just noticed a lot of differences. And uh I did want to dive a little bit more into the product that this engineer woman that you mentioned, what was her name again?
Yeah.
When.
When? Okay. Um tell us a little bit more about this product because she went from not having a bath and having a shower with essential oils to this thing. What is this? Now realize right now we’re on audio. So kind of describe to the people that are listening what this product is. Like what does it do in the bathroom or what?
Absolutely. And thank you very much. So um even though we are on audio, Sylvia, I’m going to show you because I have it in my hands and I can’t help it. Okay. Um visual. A couple of questions for you, if that’s okay. So do you have uh do you have a diffuser at home at all?
No, I don’t.
Okay. So a diffuser is a way of or currently, in the current paradigm that we’re in, the diffuser is a way of disseminating essential oils or or scent into the home, into our lives. So when we talk about diffusion, it’s actually been around for thousands of years, right? And originally it was kind of heating up oils in in temples and things like that to get to get that smell, to perhaps bring on meditation. And through rediffusion and things like that. Now, this is still prevalent today across across churches. You know, we we have kind of intents and things like that across Turtles churches and temples and many religions, but actually, what’s increasingly common and has been for over 30 years is actually bringing this scent into our home. So ultimately, what this is, it’s the world’s first in-shower aromatherapy diffuser. So, what we’ve wanted to achieve when we talk about our modern connected world, right? Our phones, we spoke before the meeting and we said, hey, we’re we’re going to turn the mobile phone onto aeroplane mode. I don’t know if I’m speaking to you or to your audience, but I wake up every morning to dozens of notifications, of emails, of LinkedIn, of of just this kaleidoscopic mass of different information every morning. And this is this is having a real turn effect on our psyche as humans, right? We are we are never more connected than we have been currently to everything, whether it’s news, whether it’s work, whether whether it’s grandma posting a cat picture on Instagram. We’ve never had the same level of incessant barrage of communication. And that’s why we have made this product for the shower. Because our our thinking behind this is when we look at a full immersive experience, the first thing is take away the distraction, take away the dinging, take away the pinging of be you, be present, be you. And we looked at where that happens. And we shouldn’t be taking phones to bed. So we shouldn’t be taking them around with us, but we are, but we don’t take them in the shower because it’s wet. Very few people take the phone into the shower. So we’ve automatically kind of acquired this space where the notifications are silenced for a brief period of time. And then we take in what we have in the shower. We have hot, luxurious water, we have steam, we have privacy. It’s one of the few places in the in our day where we are, where we’re mindful, whether that’s singing away to your latest, your latest favourite song, whether that’s just taking a breath and just thinking about what the day is, whether it’s a fleeting memory back 20 years ago, whatever it may be, you you’re not being barraged by everything else. You’re present, and you’ve got the steam, and you have the water, and you have the heat, and you have all of these soothing things that that give your whole body and your whole psyche a hook, right? So then we thought, well, actually, what we’d love to bring into this is natural scent, is the benefits of aromatherapy that have been used for thousands of years for stress relief, for medicinal, for invigoration. You know, aromatherapy is this magical art form, right? It’s it’s not been terribly scientific, it’s not been digitized, but it’s been this magic somewhere between art and somewhere between science that uh that you can train and you can learn about. And so we thought, so we have the perfect space. Now let’s bring in scent. Let’s see what emotion we can trigger, let’s see, let’s see what physiological responses we can trigger. Because when you look at uh certain essential oils, for instance lavender, there are studies that show it has a proven impact on cortisol reduction. And then we look at something like eucalyptus on the flip side, which is perhaps more invigorating, but opens your airways, gives you refreshment, gives you gives you that pep in your step. So we thought, well, okay, now we have a space that is truly unique, that’s truly private, that’s truly protective and engrossing and energizing and calming all at once. We’ve introduced a truly natural scent that has beautiful benefits. And then as as I mentioned before the court, like we originally came into this through thinking of our own stress and how we would reduce that. And then we looked more into how we reduce stress, how we reduce cortisol. And one of the final pieces of that puzzle was actually our our body is our own defense and champion against cortisol, right? How we can reduce cortisol is by measured breathing, by breathing in a box breathing pattern. We can activate our parasympathetic nervous system. And so this is where we thought, well, what we’re going to do, we’re going to combine this sanctuary-like space. We’re going to combine it with absolutely ultra-premium essential oils, and then we’re going to guide your own body through its reset cycle, through the breathing light, so that we’re combining all of these things to more than the sum of its parts, to be truly a sensory experience that actually helps your body relax and let that cortisol go, or on the flip side, picks you up and gives you that energy to go and start your day off with a bang when you’ve got a busy day. Not a literal bang, of course, but a metaphorical one. No explosions in the shower.
No, I’m like loving this because I can totally see a huge market. Are you going to keep it in the UK or are you going to bring it to the States? Please tell me you’re going to bring it to the States.
We are coming to the US. We cannot come back. Thank God. A goodly chunk of our Kickstarter backers, over 35% of our Kickstarter backers are based in the US. I’ve had the pleasure over the past six, seven days, I’ve been speaking to our backers who are from the US and all around the globe. And actually, I feel in this, the US is really, really doing incredibly well in terms of this access to aromatherapy, this willingness to try something new, this openness to believe that, you know, there are great things that can be achieved through aromatherapy. And so a good chunk of our backers actually are from all over the US.
That’s amazing because I’m like thinking, I want to be the first in line to purchase one of these products. No, seriously. And it’s not because I’m a life coach and I do believe in the sense I do know that lavender does have some uh qualities uh to help you sleep even. You have to you know that about some of these plants. And remember, most of the medicines from long, long ago, before pharmaceutical companies even created anything is plant-based. So lavender, eucalyptus, all of it has its beginnings since the beginning of time. So this is our bodies are more used to essential oils than it is to drugs in our system. So, and I don’t say that lately. I mean, not that it’s the only thing out there. Um, there’s appropriate use for things. I just don’t, I’m one that prefers the natural, even though I come from an entire family of doctors. That that’s gonna be interesting for my family to hear. But I’ve also sold medicines, uh, adfizor pharmaceuticals. I know uh side effects and what they can do to you. I became a side effect uh of a medication when I took it and then ended up in a medical crisis and needed the intervention of an entire team of doctors to save my life. So I know uh firsthand how that can not go well in your body. So to have something natural that is also helping the mind refocus the mind into the present moment, which we know, like when we were talking prior to even starting the interview, um, how anxiety can pull us into the future or it can keep us in our past. But where we find the relaxation where cortisol drops is in the present moment, which is where God and love reside. And that’s where our mind and our everything’s all in one. The ego, soul, and spirit are become one when we are in our present state, um, not in future or in past. That’s where our mind can go a little haywire, and these um cortisol response can go haywire as well. So I’m curious, you said it’s it’s um launching in March of 2026, uh, here in the States or in the UK first. How does that work?
In the States. So um if you if you want to right here, right now, you can actually purchase the product through Kickstarter. So late pledges are enabled. Okay. Okay. So it will be in people’s homes by March of 2026. So it’s called Kickstarter? Uh so Kickstarter is the platform where we came from. So Kickstarter, it’s uh it’s what’s called a crowdfunding platform. And the idea is as you know we’re talking right here, right now, and you said, hey, like I I like the cut of this crazy Englishman’s gip. Like I think he’s I don’t know, what did you just say, but I’ll just go out. I think you might be onto something. It sounds great. And Kickstarter is a platform where people can go and they can share their idea with the world, and people can actually say, Hey, I like this, I want to support you, I want to help you make this. Okay, and so that’s what we did. And our backers are just incredible people. So thus far, 549 of them globally have said, Hey, we believe in this product, we believe it can make a difference to my life. Yeah, and that’s where they’ve pledged to us, and we are going to, in return, we’re going to involve them in all of the development process. We’re going to tell them absolutely exactly what we’re doing. So we provide regular updates on there. I would encourage, if if I may be so bold, I would encourage have a log on to Kickstarter, have a look at our video. Um, right here, right now, as you can, I can speak a million miles a minute, but I could still, there’s so many features of this product that I cannot get across just through audio. There is a fantastic video on our Kickstarter page that details our journey, it details why the product is special, why it’s unique and why it’s different. And so I would strongly say, you know, anyone yourself, anyone that’s interested in uh digitizing aromatherapy, anyone that feels stressed, anyone that feels the pinch, anyone that feels that they don’t have a moment for themselves, you are our people. You are who we want to support with this product. And yeah, please have a look. Okay, have a watch on the video.
So, what’s the name of the product?
The product is called Scent Espresso.
Scent espresso. Oh, it sounds kind of cool, actually. I kind of like that name. Oh, though express, I’m like, wow, that’s really gonna kickstart your day, isn’t it? Um for sure, or wind you down, depending on when you use it. I would do it for both, actually. So eucalyptus in the morning and lavender at night, you know, it’d be the way to go. But um, so if we wanted to reach your aside from Kickstart, is there a web page that you, Daniel, have or the company?
Absolutely. So centerspresso.com. Uh, you can reach out to me through there. Also, we are live on Instagram. We um please, I’d love to hear from people on Instagram. We we’re actually running a competition at the moment, um, and it would be lovely. One of the competitions we’re running right here, right now, is we want to talk to people about what herbs are supporting them. Obviously, we’ve been through daylight savings, we’ve been through Halloween, we’ve been through the change in the seasons. Things are getting cold and dark and dreary, and we want to hear from people what herbs are helping them, like whether that’s essential oil, whether that’s pure herbs, whether whether it’s involved in your cooking, however it is, how is nature helping people through this change of the seasons? And that’s on our Instagram right now. So we’d really we’d love to hear from people from from anywhere what what they think about the product, what they think about relaxation, what methods they currently use to take that time for themselves. We we just want to talk to people, we want to be out there in the world and and to communicate and interact because I think that that human interaction, that’s what inspires us, is how we can interact with people and how we can find a way together to make a better planet.
That sounds amazing, Daniel. Um, any last words of encouragement you want to leave us with?
Um I think I would the words of encouragement and I think I’ll piggy this piggyback this back to something that you said earlier, um, because we were talking about kind of moving into the startup, and I apologize in advance if I butcher this. But my co-founder Chris and I were talking the other day, and he started talking about the US Marines. Now, that’s not something you’d necessarily associate two English guys in a wellness company having a conversation about. Um but one of the things that he said that was a matto, and I apologize if I’ve if I’ve got it slightly wrong and not bang on the bait and but the motto was slow is smooth, smooth is fast. And I think there’s something beautiful about that that we should all, whatever stage of your journey at, whether you are getting ready to do your idea, whether you are fighting against the pressures of the world whilst doing your idea, whatever it is, I think it’s always important that we remember action is action. And if you are taking action, if you are moving forward, even if you are moving forward at what doesn’t feel like the fastest pace at the moment, you build, you move smoothly, you are considered, but you are still moving in the right direction. And as that gains momentum, it will become even faster and you will get to your destination.
I love that. I love that. I was following everything. You’re an amazing storyteller, Daniel. You know, you ought to consider writing a book on this. I can help you, I can help you. I can send you a book of like for first-time authors that we I collaborated with years ago, and it kind of gives you some tips on how to just do it. I think you have a lot of wisdom to share with the world, um, not just as an engineer and and designer, but also as an author in in in how you convey these ideas. You’re very lively, and and I you took me directly into the story, which I really cannot appreciate more and more every day. I think it’s it’s an amazing story that you have with your product. Uh, congratulations to Gwen, uh, whoever she you know she is, she’s brilliant. And um, and to your co-founder, Chris, uh, we thank you very, very much for creating this product and we wish you the best of luck in March of 2020 because I can tell you I’m going to purchase one and put it in my shower. So I’m gonna do that because I’m in perimenopause. And so we know perimenopause and menopause is where cortisol can really create some really ugly side effects to us, you know, weight gain. And so we really want to keep it nice and low and steady in us and not have these fluctuations of this level. So I will definitely be first in line. Um, for the listeners of released outreveal purpose, you’ve always heard me say this to sign off. Remember Matthew 5.14 to be the light, be the light like Daniel was the light, be the light like Gwen was the light, like who who turned a totally sucky day into probably one of the greatest products we will see in 2026. I mean, that’s pretty awesome what she did. Um, she turned something that could have been really negative into something really positive and uplifting for a lot of women and a lot of men, because they work hard too and they deserve uh kind of like a sauna experience of sorts at the end of the day. So uh be the light and just step into your your dream with faith and and belief and purpose and surround yourself with all the loving people you can in this world, just like Daniel said earlier. Have a wonderful and blessed rest of your day. Love y’all. Bye now.
